Theophobos is psychedelic black metal solo project from Guatemala, created in August 2017 by José Manuel De León. During that year, he began composing his first album Sun Eternal. Recording began in July 2022 and the album was released in January 2023.

In September of the same year, the single Wandering Souls was released in collaboration with Kaos Mask, Phi, Josué Jáuregui, and Christopher Woltke, as part of his second album: Luminescence.

In February 2024, his third album Solipsis paved the way for the formation of the live ensemble. On February 8, 2025, the band made their live debut and later, on February 22, was selected as the winning band from Guatemala for the Central American final of the Wacken Metal Battle. In April of the same year, they were chosen to represent Central America at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany.
